During one of my thirteen national tours, our truck carrying 10,000 lbs of illusion gear broke down in Saskatchewan. We had a sold-out theatre waiting in Winnipeg.

I was mentored by the world-famous Paul Royter—managing hundreds of his shows before ever stepping into the hypnotic spotlight myself—and later studied under Daniel James Summers, one of the most sought-after college hypnotists in the USA. Like me, he navigated two worlds, performing magic as Daniel Summers and hypnosis as Daniel James. He taught me the 'beyond the basics' mechanics of the human psyche.
