During the pandemic, I helped produce a musical and magical project with Tafelmusik and Ontario magician, Nicholas Wallace. The program called Music & Magic was a virtual magic show and concert that streamed live October 28th, 2021.
Music & Magic was a 1-hour hybrid concert and magic show featuring Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, a Juno Award-winning orchestra from Toronto and the incredible magician Nicholas Wallace. The show featured a unique blend of unbelievable magic, music and auditory illusions that introduced viewers to notable artists of the baroque era, magician Isaac Fawkes and composer George Fredric Handel.
Magicians will recognize Nicholas Wallace from Penn & Teller's Fool Us and America's Got Talent.
I was thrilled to be part of the incredible production! I joined the project at the beginning of 2021 and the team had already spent several months developing the script.
The idea was sparked by Marco Cera, an oboist with Tafelmusik. I recently chatted with both Marco and Nick on episode 149 of Magicians Talking Magic Podcast, listen below.
