In the search of energy

by Ryan Joyce on Aug.17, 2010, under Fun

So… As if Joycee isn’t energetic enough, and addicted to coffee even more….. Someone’s gone and gotten attached to energy drinks. I can only blame one person. Jade. ;)

Here we are in Kamloops grabbing some liquid brain re-starters. Mine of course is sugar-free. Wouldn’t want to drink anything unhealthy. ;)

Ryan Joyce and Criss Angel parody

Timothy Drake as Criss Angel & Ryan Joyce as Me

Back in what feels like a year ago, we were the closing act at the Canadian Association of Magicians National Convention held in Kitchener, ON.  Last minute we decided to have some fun.  From beginning to end we died of laughter this video was conceived, shot and edited in 16 hours.

Special thanks to my buddy Gord Gardiner for some comedic genius!

It’s So Sad…

by Ryan Joyce on Dec.09, 2009, under Fun

Isn't it a shame...

Isn't it a shame...

Isn’t it a shame… does anyone else see the stupidity here.

I mean really… I’m appalled and embarrassed at my core.

An expensive car and a 3 dollar snow brush.

Sad.

Choreographer's Snow Ball 2009 Kitchener, ON

Well yesterday I met up with long time friend Kendra Hughes in Kitchener for an evening of artistic dance and choreography.  A great night was had by all… it was fun to see Kendra’s company Kinetic Elements in … their element… at Elements Night Club.  The king of comedy right here folks.

In all there were over 500 frames… I picked a handful of my fav’s…

Please excuse the watermarks on the images, sometimes (especially in theatre) people feel they can steal images, without consideration for the photographer.  As an artist I’ve compensated for every photograph I’ve used… as a photographer my work is something I take great pride and respect in.

BTW: shameless plug for all those magicians out there :

Ro Cober and Ryan Joyce

Ro Cober and Ryan Joyce

Sometimes you do things you don’t want to do.

Sometimes we do things others want us to do.

And sometimes we do things for ourselves.

One of my favourite Zig Ziglar quotes has always been: “When you do things you have to do, when you have to do them… you’ll have infinitely more time for the things you want to do, when you want to do them.”

Good ol’ Ziggie.. he’s so smart.  I used torture play for the crew a little Zig Ziglar on 10+ hour driving days; we have our own Zigisims.

I digress.

Recently I spent sometime with a new friend and accomplished chef/entrepreneur Ro Cober of Log Cabin Heaven.  While Ro is one of the most modest people I know; she has a lot she could brag about!  Rather than bragging, she proves it in her work.

Really had a blast with Ro and looking forward to our next culinary adventure.  Make sure to check out www.logcabinheaven.com
